Job Summary
Primary Purpose Of Position
Work in this class involves the construction maintenance and repair of high-voltage underground and overhead primary and secondary electric distribution lines. Install and maintain New River Light and Powers fiber-optic network.
Minimum Qualifications
Completion of high school and six months of electrical experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Special Note: Maintains required certifications. Special Note: This is a generalized representation of positions in this class and is not intended to reflect essential functions per ADA . Examples of competencies are typical of the majority of positions but may not be applicable to all positions.
Preferred Qualifications
High school graduate. At least 1 year of experience at an electric utility or credentials from an Electrical Utility Lineman School Program. Holds CDL Class B license. Lives within 20 minutes of Boone NC.
