Job Summary

Job Title: Power BI Publisher

Job Type: Remote-Contract

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Power BI Publisher to support the migration of approximately 400 IBM Cognos reports to Microsoft Power BI and develop new Power BI dashboards. The consultant will work with Oracle data sources support reporting and analytics initiatives and ensure compliance with data governance and ADA Title II accessibility standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Migrate IBM Cognos reports to Power BI dashboards and reports.
Design develop maintain and enhance Power BI dashboards scorecards metrics filters prompts and visualizations.
Provide production support troubleshooting testing issue resolution and enhancements.
Develop consolidated Power BI usage reports and analytics metrics.
Collaborate with business users analysts and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
Support Power BI workspace architecture security version control and documentation.
Ensure compliance with ADA Title II accessibility requirements and organizational data governance standards.

Required Skills:

3 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI including dashboards reports scorecards metrics filters and visualizations.
3 years of experience with IBM Cognos.
3 years of experience with Microsoft Fabric.
Advanced experience with Oracle Database SQL and PL/SQL.
Strong problem-solving debugging and troubleshooting skills.
Experience with report migration and dashboard development projects.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with higher education data and Student Information Systems (SIS).
Knowledge of current and emerging data management and analytics technologies.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.
