Job Summary

Description

The Powder Coat employee is responsible for the preparation for and application of powder coating final assembly washing testing packaging and palletizing of products.

  • Logs into correct job or task on the M.O.M (Manufacturing Operations Management) software.
  • Approves all prints related to the operation initiated or participated in by signing QC box on print.
  • Conducts quality control on components as specified in the Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) for the part or operation that is currently engaged.
  • Washes inside of tanks and makes sure there is nothing left inside the tank from welding and that there is no water inside.
  • Tests small parts for leaks.
  • Hangs tanks/parts on the powder coat line and sets gaps/space for cure oven temperature changes.
  • Powder coats tanks/parts in the paint booth.
  • Uses job scanning software to generate labels for small parts or tanks.
  • Assembles tanks/parts on and off the line.
  • Boxes and palletizes tanks.
  • Completes and receives parts into the M.O.M software.
  • Reports any safety concerns using the Near Miss form.
  • Reports any quality concerns to supervisor.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Ability to:

  • Communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing using appropriate English grammar and syntax.

  • Establish maintain and foster positive and effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.

  • Use tact initiative prudence and independent judgement within general policy and procedural guidelines.

  • Organize work set priorities meet critical deadlines and follow-up on assignments.

  • Observe safe work methods and safety practices related to the work; use appropriate safety equipment; observe safe driving practices; wear and use proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). TFI requires all staff members to fulfill all job functions in a consistent state of alertness and work in a safe manner.

Qualifications/Prerequisites

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
