The James C. Wyant College of Optical Sciences is seeking applicants to fill a Postdoctoral Research Associate position specializing in extreme NLO Interactions in semiconducting materials.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • The successful candidate will be required to pursue research in semiconductor many-body theory and extreme nonlinear optics.
  • Develop new computational strategies to port multi-dimensional integrodifferential equations describing higher order scattering/correlations to specialist large scale GPU hardware.
  • Carry out independent research work closelywith colleagues and disseminate research through publications.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Ph.D in Physics Applied Mathematics or arelated field upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Preference will be given to candidates having a strong record in developing novel computational strategies to solve complex physics problems with relevant experience in nonlinear analysis of pdes and parallel computation.
