About the Freeman Lab: The Freeman Lab in the Department of Applied Physical Sciences at UNC -Chapel Hill is an interdisciplinary team seeking to develop life-like materials. Principal Investigator Dr. Ronit Freeman takes an interdisciplinary collaborative approach to science discovery and innovation as reflected in the diverse backgrounds of our team members and collaborators. Role description: The Freeman Lab seeks a Postdoctoral Research Fellow/Research Associate with expertise in DNA origami and DNA nanotechnology.
Required Qualifications Competencies And Experience
PHD in Materials Science Biochemistry/Chemistry or in Biophysics/Structural-Biology or similar.
Preferred Qualifications Competencies And Experience
Preference given to those with experience in the design and characterization of DNA origami and functional DNA materials. Strong track record of well-organized study design and implementation. Ability to work independently and across multi-disciplinary teams. A team player clear communicator with a strong work ethic. These are desirable but if you dont have all we can teach you! - Familiarity with confocal laser scanning microscopy - Strong understanding of cell biology physiology and/or tissue engineering. - Cell culture experience. - Experience with microfluidics. - Experience working with stem cells. - Experience with flow cytometry ELISAs PCR or confocal microscopy.
