Position Summary
The postdoctoral researcher will conduct independent and collaborative research in medicinal chemistry with primary responsibility for designing and executing experiments aimed at the synthesis of biologically relevant molecules. This includes performing literature searches; maintaining accurate and detailed laboratory records including electronic notebooks when required; preparing weekly research reports and other reports as assigned; adhering to and staying current with all laboratory safety protocols; and contributing to the cleaning organization and maintenance of laboratory spaces and equipment. The postdoc will also actively participate in scientific group meetings departmental seminars and problem solving sessions and will assist in the preparation writing and submission of research reports and publications.
Required Qualifications Competencies And Experience
PhD in Organic or Medicinal Chemistry or related field of study.
Preferred Qualifications Competencies And Experience
Extensive experience in synthetic organic chemistry is preferred. Must comply with all environmental health and safety rules including proper us of personal protective equipment.
