Full-Time Self-Contained Specialist Needed (SPED)!

Were seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher for a self-contained classroom serving approximately 10 students primarily with autism and varying support needs. The school day runs from 8:30 AM to 3:40 PM. The ideal candidate will provide individualized instruction and maintain a structured supportive classroom environment tailored to each students needs.
Further Insight:
- Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
- Implement positive behavioral and classroom management strategies.
- Participate in IEP meetings and support the development of student goals.
- Lead and manage a self-contained classroom of approximately 10 students.
- Support students with autism including those with significant support needs.
- Provide individualized instruction aligned with student IEPs and learning goals.
Requirements
- At least a Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Experience supporting students with autism and complex needs preferred.
- Ability to provide individualized instruction and maintain a positive structured classroom environment.
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with the appropriate Special Education endorsement.
