Job Summary
TheRobinson Police Department is accepting applications for a certified Police Officer. Robinson population approx. 12443 is located south of Waco and operates under a Home Rule Charter as a Council-Manager form of government.
The Robinson Police Department is developing superior professional training for officers wishing to advance their career within the agency. Special assigned positions and assignments include detectives community services officer training officer background investigations and field training officers. Police officers are provided duty weapons all equipment leather gear body armor body cameras and uniforms. Each officer is assigned a personal patrol vehicle that may be taken home if the officer lives within five miles of the city
Individuals with a Basic Peace Officer license is preferred. We are also accepting applications for non-licensed candidates who desire to attend the MCC Law Enforcement Academy in January 2027.
To be eligible to take the next Police Officer Selection Test on Monday November 9 at 1:00pm applicants should complete the City of Robinson online employment application that is located to the right of this screen. Application deadline is 5:00pm on Friday November 6 2026.

Applicants must have a High School Diploma or GED and be at least 21 years of age by date of hire. Applicant must have a valid Texas Driver License with an acceptable driving record. Applicants must pass a written exam and physical test background investigation oral interview administrative interview physical psychological and drug screen tests; ability to work any shift. TCOLE basic peace officers license is preferred but will consider non-licensed applicants to attend the next Law Enforcement Academy in January 2027.
Employee may be exposed to infectious diseases and potentially hazardous materials. He or she must be able to pass physical ability tests and must be able to perform strenuous work under hazardous and adverse weather conditions. The work environment is varied and extreme at times.
