About the Role
Police Officers in La Plata are responsible for:

Salary & Pay Structure
Officer (Non-Certified): $64030 annually ($30.78/hour)
Certified Officer: $68860 annually ($33.10/hour)
Position is hourly non-exempt
Hiring Bonuses
$2500 sign-on bonus for newly hired non-certified officers
$3500 sign-on bonus for certified officers

Qualifications
General qualifications for Police Officer candidates include:
- U.S. citizenship
- Minimum age of 21 at the time of certification
- High school diploma or GED (higher degree preferred)
