Plastics Tooling & Changeover Technician

Do you thrive on precision setups fast changeovers and helping production hit its targets Are you equally comfortable with micrometers and machine HMIs If so this role was made for you.

1. Lead minor and major changeovers on Lyle Thermoforming and OMG lines to meet schedule demands.
2. Swap and stage inserts and moldsboth offline in the tool room and online at the equipment.
3. Deliver a dialed-in first run that clears all Quality Department criteria (Green Time) and coordinate release with Quality and Supervision.
4. Assist inline changeovers by performing basic extrusion operator activities and troubleshooting process hiccups.
5. Keep product flowing: repair forming molds and trim tools; perform upkeep on thermoforming and labeling automation.
6. Partner with maintenance to quickly restore down lines; make necessary adjustments and escalate complex changes to the Maintenance Manager.
7. Use calipers micrometers and other gauges to validate setups; read and operate the machine computer console and train operators on controls.
8. Track OEE and jump in wherever performance slips; maintain precise records of each changeover.
9. Document tasks time and parts usage in the CMMS; maintain a clean orderly workspace daily.
10. Support production/packing as needed and work effectively with minimal oversight. Other duties as assigned.

Hourly rate: $30.00 $36.00 based on experience

Shift: 7am7pm on a 2-2-3 rotation

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Set Up Technician Sr. Specialist training completed or equivalent industry experience.
