Plant Quality Manager

Job Summary
You will lead the plant-level quality function to drive product and process excellence implementing AS9100D and continuous improvement methods. You will impact product conformity customer satisfaction and supplier performance while managing a team of quality engineers and inspectors. Onsite (1st Shift MondayFriday).
- Communicate and execute customer regulatory and organizational requirements to assure product quality and contract compliance.
- Manage and develop a team of quality engineers and inspectors to foster quality compliance and continual improvement.
- Maintain and implement the quality management system to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements and corporate/division policies.
- Ensure personnel performing quality-affecting functions are trained and demonstrate appropriate skills and performance.
- Coordinate plant personnel for internal customer and third-party quality system audits.
- Maintain a corrective action system to analyze and correct nonconforming conditions and complaints.
- Implement performance measurements to evaluate product quality customer satisfaction and cost of poor quality; target improvement efforts based on results.
- Assess supplier capabilities and monitor supplier quality to ensure desired performance levels.
- B.S. degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- 35 years of Quality Engineering or related experience.
- Minimum 3 years managing a team.
- Knowledge of AS9100D and manufacturing quality practices.
- Experience with quality improvement tools and techniques (e.g. Lean Six Sigma methods Statistical Process Control MSA/Gage R&R Process Capability FMEA).
- Demonstrated leadership project management facilitation and problem-solving skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to represent the organization technically and professionally.
- Lead auditor experience for AS9100D.
- Certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) or Certified Quality Manager (CQMgr).
- Aerospace medical or manufacturing engineering background.
- Experience assessing and monitoring supplier quality.
