Plant Quality Manager

You will lead the plant-level quality function to drive product and process excellence implementing AS9100D and continuous improvement methods. You will impact product conformity customer satisfaction and supplier performance while managing a team of quality engineers and inspectors. Onsite (1st Shift MondayFriday).

• Communicate and execute customer regulatory and organizational requirements to assure product quality and contract compliance.
• Manage and develop a team of quality engineers and inspectors to foster quality compliance and continual improvement.
• Maintain and implement the quality management system to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements and corporate/division policies.
• Ensure personnel performing quality-affecting functions are trained and demonstrate appropriate skills and performance.
• Coordinate plant personnel for internal customer and third-party quality system audits.
• Maintain a corrective action system to analyze and correct nonconforming conditions and complaints.
• Implement performance measurements to evaluate product quality customer satisfaction and cost of poor quality; target improvement efforts based on results.
• Assess supplier capabilities and monitor supplier quality to ensure desired performance levels.

• B.S. degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• 35 years of Quality Engineering or related experience.
• Minimum 3 years managing a team.
• Knowledge of AS9100D and manufacturing quality practices.
• Experience with quality improvement tools and techniques (e.g. Lean Six Sigma methods Statistical Process Control MSA/Gage R&R Process Capability FMEA).
• Demonstrated leadership project management facilitation and problem-solving skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to represent the organization technically and professionally.

• Lead auditor experience for AS9100D.
• Certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) or Certified Quality Manager (CQMgr).
• Aerospace medical or manufacturing engineering background.
• Experience assessing and monitoring supplier quality.
