Our Client an AV Manufacturing company is looking for a Plant Issue Resolution Engineer - Body & Closure Systems for their Hayward CA location.

- Lead triage containment and resolution plan of issues identified during general assembly and end-of-line testing across door systems latches actuators sealing access panels glazing and body structures
- Define and execute short-term containment actions including rework plans part quarantine and build flow protection
- Collaborate cross-functionally to lead root cause analysis across design process supplier and manufacturing domains identify and prioritize blockers and drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM) improvements.
- Support cross-functional teams to implement permanent corrective actions (PCA) and prevent recurrence
- Support prototype builds production trials and engineering changes to validate fixes and improve manufacturability
- Develop and maintain metrics dashboards and reporting to track issue health closure rates and recurrence and improve PIRT processes including issue tracking prioritization and cross-functional execution
Requirements:
- B.S. or M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field
- 6-8 years of experience in automotive OEMs robotics aviation or other complex hardware systems within manufacturing product engineering or sustaining environments
- Strong understanding of vehicle across door systems latches actuators sealing access panels glazing and body structures
- Proven experience leading root cause analysis and corrective actions in production manufacturing or field environments including new product launch support
- Strong cross functional communication and problem solving skills with the ability to operate effectively in a fast paced environment
- Experience with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) production process optimization Lean Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience in autonomous vehicles robotics or EV systems
- Familiarity with tools such as 3DX (Dassault) DELMIA SAP ME/MII JIRA Confluence SQL Python or data visualization tools
