Lead and perform Plant Health Care services while developing the estimating customer-service and account-management capabilities required for a future Sales Arborist role. The position combines production contribution with deliberate succession into a full-time sales position. Monday Wednesday in production Thursday Friday in sales. Field and sales time will flex seasonally with production needs.

- Target allocation: 3 PHC field days / 2 sales-development days
- Department: Tree Care / Plant Health Care
- Reports to: Tree Care Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Perform prescribed fertilization insect and disease treatments and other PHC services safely and efficiently.
- Provide field guidance quality checks and technical support to PHC technicians; assist with routing and daily readiness.
- Maintain equipment materials inventory and accurate application/service records.
- Follow pesticide labels applicable licensing requirements and company safety procedures.
- Identify additional plant-health needs and communicate findings to the sales team without compromising scheduled production.
- Shadow experienced Sales Arborists during inspections proposals and account meetings.
- Learn estimating for PHC pruning removals and associated equipment rental permit and traffic-control requirements.
- Develop ArborGold proficiency for plant inventory mapping proposals follow-ups and job documentation.
- Progressively estimate smaller projects and manage selected client communications under appropriate supervision.
- Participate in structured introductions to accounts designated for succession.
- Support technician coaching treatment quality and customer communication.
- Learn assigned client histories plant inventories and recurring service needs.
- Assume progressively larger account responsibilities as competency and PHC coverage permit.
- PHC revenue and gross profit per field day treatment quality and regulatory compliance.
- Technician support scheduling reliability and accurate job-cost/time records.
- Proposal quality estimating competency customer retention and progressively independent sales production.
Year 1 Maintain PHC leadership and production while building technical estimating skills and attending account visits.
- Able to complete sales cycle from lead to invoice
- Attend priority account meetings; become established second contact
- Begin owning smaller/new accounts
- Demonstrate ability to sell independently
- Achieve $50000 in sales
Year 2 Own smaller estimates and accounts; expand sales responsibility while maintaining production coverage.
- Independently estimate majority of normal Tree/PHC work
- Become primary contact for a portion of retiring arborists clients
- Carry an independent book of work
- Train PHC lead replacement
- Achieve $250000 in sales
Year 3 Transition designated customer relationships and demonstrate readiness for a full-time Sales Arborist role.
- Full sales arborist capability
- Oversight of production focus on sales
- Transition remaining clients
- Sales goal of $750000
- The 60% production / 40% sales-development split is a planning target not an inflexible weekly promise. Seasonal PHC needs may alter the schedule. Management will review production coverage and protected development time quarterly.
- Demonstrated professional PHC production experience and strong knowledge of plants pests and treatment methods.
- Experience with application equipment calibration field safety and customer communication.
- Valid drivers license and applicable Colorado pesticide credentials or ability to obtain and maintain QS within 6 months.
- ISA certification or ability to obtain within 1 year ArborGold experience and estimating experience preferred.

Compensation
- $70000 - $75000 Annually
