Job Summary
Planning SpecialistAbout the RoleThe Planning Specialist is responsible for coordinating planning activities for customer-specific programs and catalog items to support production efficiency inventory accuracy and on-time delivery. This role partners cross-functionally with Forecasting Procurement Manufacturing Customer Service Shipping Marketing and Sales to monitor program status align capacity and material availability resolve planning issues and ensure customer and business needs are You Will Make an ImpactPlan custom programs and catalog items within the MRP system to support customer demand production requirements and inventory weekly cross-functional status meetings with Marketing Sales and Customer Service to review custom program progress risks and timing finished goods requirements and proactively follow up with internal partners to help ensure items are completed on as the primary planning contact for assigned accounts and programs providing timely responses to questions and status update closely with Production Planners to evaluate expedite requests resolve scheduling constraints and support timely customer with the Bill of Material team to support accurate item setup completion requirements and readiness for production with Marketing to confirm appropriate capacity is reserved for custom programs and customer with Forecasting to understand demand changes and adjust production plans strong communication with Customer Service and Shipping to support order visibility shipment readiness and issue Procurement of expedite needs or reduced lead times related to custom programs and partner on material availability Essentials:Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Operations Management Business Manufacturing or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.2 years of production planning and scheduling experience in a manufacturing environmentStrong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in planning documentation and to plan and manage custom programs and catalog items using ERP/MRP ability to coordinate cross-functional communication and provide clear timely status updates to internal ownership and follow-through in tracking requirements resolving issues and supporting on-time completion of finished You Deserve ItWe dont just hire great peoplewe take care of salary and incentivesTime off that lets you rechargeRetirement savings optionsGrowth opportunities that elevate your careerComprehensive Medical Dental and Vision benefitsPet insurancebecause your furry friends matter tooStay Connected- follow us on LinkedIn and explore more on our website:Hoffmaster:Overview LinkedInHome Hoffmaster#HGISalary2920#LI-GZ1
