This is a Staff hourly non-exempt position
- Collaboration with multidisciplinary teamsincluding transportation civil engineering planning surveying geotechnical landscape architecture and environmental professionalsto review site plans assess projects and develop solutions that minimize environmental impacts.
- Conduct site visits collect field data and perform biological and aquatic surveys to support environmental analysis and reporting.
- Assist in preparing environmental documentation and technical reports in compliance with NEPA CEQA and TRPA requirements.
- Navigating environmental planning and permitting processes by coordinating with local state and federal agencies to secure necessary regulatory approvals.
- Assist in preparing permit applications monitor construction activities for compliance with environmental regulations permits and design specifications throughout project lifecycles.
- Stay current on regulatory changes and support informed project decision-making.
- Assist in supporting project delivery through research and project scoping.
- Build client relationships.
- Bachelors degree in environmental planning biology ecology or related field.
- 3 years of relevant experience in environmental planning permitting or related work.
- Working knowledge of key environmental regulations (e.g. ESA CWA NEPA CEQA TRPA NDEP).
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
- Effectively manage multiple priorities meet deadlines and work both independently and collaboratively.
- Highly organized detail-oriented with strong time management skills.
- Experience with GPS/GIS and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to perform fieldwork in varied and sometimes challenging environmental conditions.
- Valid drivers license and willingness to travel as needed.
