We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Substation Planner III to join our team at K&A Power Group in Leland New Bern Garner or Dunn NC. In this role you will have the opportunity to work on exciting and challenging projects that make a real impact in the energy and utility sectors. Youll be part of a dynamic people-focused team where your expertise ideas and contributions will be valued and celebrated.

Role Expectations:

• Develop detailed construction and maintenance work packages.
• Estimate labor hours resources and project durations.
• Coordinate materials equipment tools and contractor support.
• Participate in project planning scoping and pre-construction meetings.
• Conduct site visits and job walk-downs to support project planning.
• Coordinate with Construction Project Management Operations and other stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Support switching clearance requests outage coordination and emergency planning activities.
• Maintain accurate project and compliance documentation including NERC-related records.

What were looking for:

• Minimum 5 years of Substation Construction experience.
• Knowledge of transmission and substation construction practices.
• Experience with construction planning estimating and resource coordination.
• Knowledge of ITOA or switching/tagging qualifications required.
• Strong organizational communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across multiple teams.

Pay Range $40$46.40/hour
