Summary

Individual Contributor An Integrated Planning & Control Planner is responsible for coordinating material planning production planning and contractual logistics support to ensure operational execution aligns with the program & customer requirements. They analyze demand develop integrated schedules manage program inventory levels and monitor progress to keep plans on track. The role includes coordination across functions i.e.; engineering manufacturing/production supply chain logistics and material management teams to balance resources mitigate risks and support on-time delivery and cost objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring that all required materials and services are efficiently processed through supply chain in a manner that supports program/project identified integration dates.
  • The candidate will be responsible for developing and utilizing metrics for continued performance measurement and process improvement
  • Build logistics support plans aligned with program schedules and life-cycle requirements
  • Coordinate Logistics for maintenance cycles repairs spares and sustainment activities
  • Manage inventory levels to meet contractual service levels while minimizing cost
  • Prepares the necessary documentation for items being shipped out of plant
  • Expedites items being shipped to customer sites and/or vendors
  • Advise program management of the hardware status for work in progress material availability and potential production problems
  • Confirm material supply and demands using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system prepare purchase requisitions and manufacturing orders of material based on a manufacturing/production schedule and inventory requirements.
  • Analyze demand signals material forecasts production schedules and historical data to determine material needs
  • Monitor and control material and labor budgeted cost as a Cost Account Manager (CAM) in accordance with program and organizational financial requirements
  • Supply raw material requirements and scheduling needs from engineering specifications production schedules and coordinates material movement with purchasing warehouse and production.
  • Understanding of Bill of Materials (BOMs) along with a solid knowledge of Engineering Technical Data (drawings specs Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and production schedules
  • Extracts various reports from internal business systems to evaluate priorities
  • Interfaces continuously with Mechanical Engineers (MEs) Industrial Engineers (IEs) Program Schedulers Operation Program Managers (OPMs) and Subcontract Program Managers (SPMs) to determine changes to existing production schedules material requirements and manufacturing orders.
  • Communicates within and outside of own function or business area and has responsibility for communicating with parties external to the organization (e.g. customers vendors etc.) when necessary. Explains interprets and gains cooperation on policies procedures and practices.
  • The candidate will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with the Material Management and Accounting System (MMAS) DFAR requirement within CAE USA.
  • Professional with strong knowledge of job area and broad knowledge of project management. Manages complex projects and processes with general oversight.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Associates Business or Technical Degree in a closely related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 3 5 years experience in Production Planning Material Planning Supply Chain or related functions.
  • Experience in Aerospace/Aviation Production Planning Material Planning Manufacturing or Simulation environment preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 5 years experience with MRP and ERP systems
  • Experience with DFAR MMAS and AS9100 compliance
  • Must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance

  • Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must possess strong prioritization (multitask) & organizational skills and an ability to manage multiple tasks and groups simultaneously.
  • Ability to produce and analyze reports and spreadsheets
  • Must possess proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook) with desire to learn new software packages.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form.

Security Responsibilities

Must complywith all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials in any form. Shall not divulge any information or afford access to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.

  • Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.

Work Environment

  • Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime as needed including occasional weekends.
  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers phones photocopiers etc
