Description
ResponsibleforReturn to Service:review work packageverifyconfiguration and airworthiness and certify per Repair Stationops specs and limitations.
Responsiblefor leadingengine test executionandresolve any testing issuesbydrivingroot cause corrective actionandproblem-solvingeffortsfollowing theappropriateproblem-solvingtool Repair Station Manuals and GEPolicies&Procedures.
Able toleadprocess improvement opportunitiesinvolvingcross-functional teams including EHS quality engineering planning and materials to support operational initiatives achieve strategic business objectives and support constant improvement site-wide.
Mentorsothers to identify and apply in any situation the appropriate technical references such as Aircraft Maintenance Manuals Engine Shop Manuals and Engine Illustrated Parts Catalogs.
Trains others to use and personally appliesFLIGHT DECK GE Aerospaces proprietary operating systemsfundamentals and behaviors the sites Repair Station and Quality Control Manual Training Manual Test Cell Facility Operations Manual and all other applicable regulatory requirements.
Accurately document work performed discrepancies and corrective actions; book time and maintain traceability in ERP systems.
Perform supplementary shop and housekeeping duties as a part of the sites 5S and Total Proactive Maintenance initiatives.
Safely operate shop equipment (fork trucks overhead cranes tugs etc.)coach others on operationsandGEAerospacePolicies&Procedures.
Ability to use mechanical ingenuity and make decisions in a fast-paced production environment in a safe effective and efficient manner.
Availability to work flexible shift patterns as required including nights weekends and holidays.
Ability to travel to remote international locations for initial training for an extendedperiod.
Minimum high school diploma / GED with 4 years of hands-on work experience with advanced inspection and engine test equipment.
1 years of leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to guide teams and drive execution.
Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Powerplant License required.
Demonstrate proficiency inAircraft Engines Test experiencemechanicalInspectionBorescopeTest Throttle OperatorPreliminary Review Designated InspectorEngine Test troubleshooting.
Proven leadershipexperiencedriving process improvements and resolving complex test issues.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Background in or familiarity with SAP Oasis or a similar ERP software.
Ability to communicate effectively across all levels.
Demonstrated quality compliance and customer satisfactionmindset.
Possess a desire to learn constantly in every aspect of OWS test operations and expand their knowledge to different technologies andengineprograms.
Ability to work as part of a team or of their own initiative when required.
Features strong interpersonal organizational and leadership skills including problem-solving ability.
Previous commercial high-bypass turbofan engine testing experience including prepping de-prepping engine test (test cell or on-wing) line maintenance engine changes LRU removal and installation and troubleshooting.
Engine Test Site Operatorexperience.

Physical requirements: Regularly lift/push/pull up to 50lbsstand/walk for extended periods; climb ladders/stands; work at heights and in highnoise environments; wear required PPE (hearing/eye protection safety footwear etc.)
Certifications and training: Maintain FAA Powerplant certification and internal authorizations;complete recurrent training per site requirements.
Screening and compliance: Position requires successful background check pre-employmentdrug screen andcontinuous enrolment in the Drug and Alcohol program; export control eligibility may apply; customersite badging may be required.
