Job Summary
(functions considered essential as defined by ADA)
- Works a 12-hour Dupont Schedule which includes rotating shifts from nights to days weekends and holidays
- Learns and understands the essentials of pipeline operations including safety protocols system controls and emergency response procedures
- Assists in monitoring pipeline operations through a computerized control system identifying and addressing any abnormalities or deviations in the pipeline operations
- Collaborates with experienced Pipeline Controllers and supervisors to gain knowledge and hands-on experience in pipeline operations
- Assists in responding to alarms and emergency situations following established protocols to mitigate risks and minimize downtime
- Communicates effectively with field personnel maintenance teams and other stakeholders to coordinate activities and ensure smooth operations.
- Documents and maintains accurate records of pipeline operations including shift reports maintenance logs and incident reports
- Stays updated with industry regulations best practices and emerging technologies in pipeline operations
- Participates in training programs and workshops provided by the company to develop expertise in pipeline operations
- Completes internet-based training as assigned by the training department
- Completes a review board and training simulator for Operator Qualification
Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their manager as determined from timeto time in their sole and complete discretion
A minimum of five years of general work experience or may substitute experience for a two year technical degree (Associates Degree in a technical field) is required.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Experience in the military experience as a machine operator in manufacturing pipeline controller or field technician is preferred
