Job Summary
**Job Responsibilities:**
The following are the main duties of the position:
**Main Duties:**- Provide a full range of medical services based on the permissions given by the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF).
- Teach and guide other health care professionals in areas that match your skills and permits.
- Examine patients determine their health issues provide treatment or suggest treatment plans based on your training and experience.
- Offer preventive care and health maintenance including annual physical exams promoting healthy behaviors and teaching self-care skills through education and counseling.
- Order necessary medical tests and refer patients to other doctors or clinics when needed.
- Be skilled at teaching and directing other medical staff giving educational talks and helping train clinic staff members. This must follow government rules and accepted medical standards.
**Work Schedule:**- Monday to Friday 8.5 hours a day between 7:30 am and 6:00 pm- No work on weekends or holidays- No on-call duties
**Minimum Qualifications:**- **Education:** Must have an M.D. (Doctor of Medicine) or D.O. (Doctor of Osteopathy).
- **Experience:** At least 3 years of experience in Family Practice within the last 5 years including working with children.
- **License:** Must have an active unrestricted license to practice medicine in any state.
- **Board Certification:** Must be eligible for board certification. Being board certified is preferred. Certification can be from the American Board of Internal Medicine the American Board of Family Practice the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine or the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians.
- **Life Support Certifications:** Must have current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
- **Security:** Must be able to pass a government background check and obtain a security clearance from the government.
