Physician OBGYN

CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic in collaboration with CHRISTUS St. Michael Health System in Texarkana is seeking a BE/BC OB/GYN physician to join an established and growing practice. This unique opportunity offers the stability and support of an employed practice model while providing the ability to maximize earnings through a highly competitive RVU-based compensation plan.

The incoming physician will benefit from the support of three experienced Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs) including two Nurse Practitioners and one Certified Nurse Midwife who manage a significant portion of the outpatient clinic volume. This collaborative care model enables the physician to focus on inpatient care expand gynecologic surgical services and participate in obstetrical call while maintaining a balanced and efficient practice.

• CollaborativecaremodelallowsphysicianstofocusontheirareasofclinicalinterestwhilebenefitingfromstrongAPCsupportandenhancedpatientaccess.
• ResponsibilitiesincludeoutpatientOB/GYNcaresurgicalproceduresrotatingOBcallandparticipationinthecallscheduleforpracticepatients.
• Recruitmentneedisdrivenbyalong-termmedicalleave.ThepracticecurrentlyconsistsofoneOB/GYNandsharescallcoveragewithalocalOB/GYNgroupandOBHospitalistGroup(OBHG)Laborist.
• Modernclinicspacefeaturing12examroomsadedicatedprocedureroomforcolposcopiesphysicianofficeslaboratoryservicesandon-siteultrasound.
• Dedicatedsurgicalblocktimeavailable.Surgicalvolumecanbetailoredtophysicianpreferencewithhysterectomiesrepresentingthehighest-volumeprocedurefollowedbycesareansectionsanddilationandcurettage(D&C)procedures.
• Averagedeliveryvolumeof50to60birthspermonthwithacesareansectionrateofapproximately25%.
• Spontaneous night and weekend deliveries handled by Laborist group.
• LevelIIINeonatalIntensiveCareUnit(NICU)availableoncampus.
• Current patientmixisapproximately60%obstetricsand40%gynecology.
• High-risk obstetrical cases are generallylimitedtoobesityandgestationalconditions.Patientsrequiringadvancedmaternal-fetalmedicineservicesormanagementofsignificantcomorbiditiesarereferredtospecialistsinDallasTexasorLittleRockArkansas.

Call Coverage and Hospital Rounds:

• OBGYNs from this group and 2 from another OBGYN group rotate and share five (5) 24-hour calls per month for practice patients only.
• Calls can be split between group members to be less than 24 hours.
• Currently OBGYN rounds 3 days/per week; with a new OBGYN physician; M-F rounds will be shared.

• 311-bed acute care hospital with a Level III Emergency Department and a full range of medical specialties represented.
• Christus after-hours triage services nurse line assists with call duties
• Epic EMR utilized across both clinic and hospital settings.
• Texas License at start of practice
• Texas Registered DEA
• BC/BE Residency trained OB/GYN
• Upcoming graduation residents encouraged to inquire
