What Youll Do:

As the Physician you will provide primary and/or urgent healthcare to patients while maintaining high standards of medical care and patient safety. This role will assess diagnose treat and monitor patients while providing education counseling referrals and appropriate follow-up.

Your Accountabilities in the Role:

• Provides comprehensive primary and/or urgent care by obtaining patient histories performing physical examinations ordering diagnostic testing diagnosing illnesses and conditions and developing and monitoring treatment plans.
• Documents patient care accurately and timely within the electronic health record to support quality patient care clinical requirements and appropriate billing.
• Prescribes medications and performs or orders appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including minor office surgical procedures as appropriate.
• Directs and supervises nursing care and provides appropriate supervision and direction to non-physician providers and clinical staff.
• Reviews laboratory and diagnostic test results in a timely manner and communicates with patients regarding results and appropriate follow-up.
• Provides patient education counseling self-management guidance healthy behavior recommendations and support for individual health goals.
• Refers patients to appropriate specialists and coordinates care as needed to support comprehensive treatment.
• Participates in Patient Centered Medical Home activities and quality initiatives to support high standards of patient care.

Position Requirements:

• Education: MD or DO required. Must possess or be able to obtain a Michigan medical license.
• Experience: 1 Years of previous primary care experience preferred. Successful completion of a Family Practice or Emergency Medicine residency with documented clinical experience required. Specialists must have successfully completed applicable residency and/or fellowship training.
• Certifications: Current unrestricted Michigan physician license required. Unrestricted Federal and State Controlled Substance licenses required. Board Certified or Board Eligible status required. Current Michigan drivers license required. BLS certification required; ACLS certification recommended.
• Functional Skills: Strong clinical assessment diagnosis treatment documentation communication and patient management skills. Ability to provide appropriate supervision and direction to non-physician providers and clinical staff.
• Technology Skills: Ability to effectively use an electronic health record to document patient care activities review and communicate patient information support clinical requirements and facilitate appropriate billing.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with patients healthcare providers clinic staff administration and the public.
• Leadership/Behaviors: Professional collaborative patient-focused and committed to maintaining high standards of medical care. Demonstrates the ability to establish positive working relationships provide appropriate direction to clinical staff and support the organizations mission and values.

Pay/Salary: Salary is commensurate with proven expertise.

Core Hours: Two 11-hour work days (7:45 am 7:00 pm) Two 9-hour days (7:45 am 5 pm)

Typical Work Week: M-F; 4045 hours per week; occasional Saturday rotation and call responsibilities. (8:30am 1 pm)
