NEEDED: Physician (MD / DO)

LOCATION: Fort Worth TX 76114

SCHEDULE: 680 hours per year 120 workdays40 hours per week Monday Friday 7:30 AM 4:00 PM

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must possess knowledge skills abilities and a current valid license to practice medicine in the state of Texas.
• Serious applicants must submit a current CV photocopies of documents evidencing education license certification and training.

JOB DUTIES:

• Responsible for providing in-house medical care for the inmate population.
• Will perform complete physical examinations collect comprehensive medical and social history to include a review of all body systems perform physical assessment in correlation with historical findings record preliminary objective findings examine and order appropriate diagnostic testing and provide necessary treatment and/or medications as required.
• Refer selected cases to consultant specialists when necessary and refer inmates requiring hospitalization to a community hospital and to an appropriate admitting physician.
• All duties shall be performed in accordance with standards and methods generally accepted within the field of medicine and in compliance with all Federal and State policy and regulations.
• Detailed medical record documentation must be maintained.
• Document accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record and will have all documentation completed by the end of the workday.
• Any recommendations for further diagnostic testing and/or treatment will be made in the appropriate section of the electronic record pending review by the Utilization Review committee.
