We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Practice Physician Assistant to join our Cooper Care Alliance team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive patient-centered care to individuals and families across all ages focusing on prevention wellness and the management of chronic and acute conditions in an outpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality evidence-based primary care to a diverse patient population.
- Conduct physical exams diagnose and treat illnesses order and interpret diagnostic tests.
- Develop and manage treatment plans including prescribing medications and coordinating referrals.
- Promote preventive care and health education to patients and families.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including nurses medical assistants behavioral health and specialists.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical meetings.
- Adhere to organizational policies procedures and regulatory standards.
The Physician Assistant is a skilled person qualified in academic and clinical education to provide patient services under the supervision of a staff physician both in a clinical office and operating room environment.
Masters Degree as a Physician Assistant is required
Experience in an ambulatory or outpatient care setting preferred.
Experience with electronic health records (e.g. Epic).
- Board certification as Physician Assistant
- Active New Jersey License
- American Heart Association BLS
- Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.
- Interest in population health quality improvement or teaching.
- Strong communication organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to providing culturally competent and equitable care.
