CONTACT INFORMATION:Human Resources or SUMMARY/SCOPE: TheAcademic Support Coordinator provides comprehensive administrative andtechnical support to the PA Program. This role is pivotal in maintaining theintegrity of program data supporting the continuous self-assessment processrequired for accreditation and ensuring the seamless delivery of thecurriculum through expert management of educational technology platforms. HSU JOB FAMILY CLASSIFICATION INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: DataManagement & Accreditation Support: Manageand organize program academic data (both didactic and clinical phases of thecurriculum) using software programs. Becomea departmental expert in programs including but not limited to ExamSoft AdobeESign MS Office SurveyMonkey EXXAT CASPA ARC-PA Portal and Canvas. Supportthe Program Director in the analysis and reporting of data for ARC-PAaccreditation and curriculum evaluation. Supportprogram faculty examinations through delivery and proctoring. Systematizethe collection and aggregation of departmental survey data to ensurehigh-integrity datasets for faculty analysis and formal reporting. Maintainsecure student files and pre-matriculation databases in compliance with programand institutional privacy policies. Managepre-matriculation database for student prerequisite completion. Participatein student admissions/interview activities and data gathering related toresults. Participatein student recruitment and retention activities including coordination ofpre-matriculation communication and orientation activities for new PA studentsin conjunction with faculty and staff. Academic& Curricular Operations: Communicationwith students staff and faculty regularly using the Canvas system foracademic updates and needs. Assistfaculty in course preparation related to set-up & delivery. Maintainprogram library and resources including supply inventory. Provideclerical support to faculty including classroom and research endeavors. Supportdepartmental activities for student assessment including set-up of andparticipation in standardized patient assessments. Supportbudget reconciliation and management for program. Provideclerical support for faculty research and committees. Managedepartmental social media presence. Attendrequired training at conferences as requested. Dailyerrands on & off campus including mail collection. Otherduties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: There are no supervisorresponsibilities for this position. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solvepractical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situationswhere only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in writtenoral diagram or schedule form. COMPUTER SKILLS: To perform this jobsuccessfully an individual should have knowledge of all Microsoft Officesoftware Project Management software Order processing systems Studenttracking databases Adobe Canvas ExamSoft the internet texting and socialmedia platforms. Training can be provided on program-specific software. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelors degree fromfour-year college or university preferred. One to two yearsrelated experience and/or training required. Must be verydetail-oriented highly organized hard-working and efficient. Must be able to meetdeadlines and multi-task in a high-volume service area. Must be an excellentcommunicator in both written and verbal forms. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This is a Non-Exempt/Hourly position. This hourly positionrequires a regular 40-hour workweek at minimum (plus occasional overtime). Working beyond a normal 40-hour week including evenings andweekends is possible during peak season and/or to meet internal deadlines. Non-Exempt/Hourly employees who work beyond 40 hours during asingle work week will be compensated at time and a half per FLSA guidelines. Infrequent travel may be required on occasion forstudent recruitment events clinical site visits or in order to attendtraining workshops. Must have andmaintain a valid Class C Drivers License and maintain a clear driving recordto be insurable under the university liability policy. Must be able to drive tocomplete work assignments on and off campus as needed.
