What youll do:

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Assist in escorting patients to treatment areas.

  • Observe patients during treatments and reports orally to the physical therapist.

  • Assist patients with therapeutic exercises under the direction of the physical therapist.

  • Prepare the treatment areas for patient care.

  • Prepare modality treatments as supervised by the physical therapist including electrical stimulation hot/cold packs iontophoresis BFRT and other modalities.

  • Keep treatment areas (tables equipment and gym area) clean and disinfected.

  • Keep machines clean and in working order and report any problems in a timely manner.

  • Perform deep cleaning of equipment regularly and when necessary.

  • File exercise flowsheets as necessary.

  • Assist with orientation and training of new physical therapy technicians.

  • Perform supply inventory and unpack/check-in supply orders.

  • Keep supply closets in order and continually maintain a clean and safe work area.

  • Adhere to HIPAA/OSHA regulations.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.



Qualifications

Who you are:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong interpersonal communication (verbal and written) and customer service skills.

  • Able to follow directions from physical and/or occupational therapist.

  • Experience in an outpatient physical therapy clinic or personal training environmentof at least 1 year is preferred.
