Physical Therapist. Full Time at Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital Rehab. Sign on bonus eligible**

• Provides patient care based upon physician referral and age-appropriate assessment taking into consideration the patients developmental/chronological age and medical diagnoses when planning/implementing treatment programs designed to achieve goals set in conjunction with the patient and/or family member.

• Coordinates patient care and clinical activities through written and/or verbal communication with patients families therapists Clinical Team Leaders managers physicians and other members of the health care team.

• Documents in the patients medical record and completes other patient care-related forms in compliance with regulatory agencies and department/hospital policies and procedures.

• Supervises PTAs and collaborates with other therapy staff support staff volunteers and students to achieve efficient clinical activity and quality patient care.

• Participates in other patient care and departmental/professional activities as requested/assigned including but not limited to presenting/attending in-services performance improvement program development/evaluation new employee orientation committee membership peer review and attending staff meetings.

• Supervises Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) as provided by State of Virginia licensure/practice standards and Federal regulations.

• Orients new employees and may provide guidance to volunteers students support or contract staff.

Education: Graduate of an approved Physical Therapy program required. Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy with 5 years of experience or a Masters degree or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) required.

Experience: No experience required with a Masters degree or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT). Individuals with a Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy must have 5 years of experience. For Home Health positions 1 year of clinical experience is required.

Licensure Certification and/or Registration: Licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia by the Virginia Board of Physical Therapy.

Other Minimum Qualifications: Effective interpersonal communication customer service and teamwork skills required.

Compensation Range:

$39.00 - $62.40

Employee pay is based on a variety of factors including qualifications credentials education and prior work experience. The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
