Relocation Assistance: $2500 with a one-year commitment or $4500 with a two-year commitment

Job Overview
A leading healthcare organization is seeking Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) to join its Rehabilitation team in Yuma Arizona.
Working under the direction and plan of care established by a licensed Physical Therapist the PTA will provide hands-on rehabilitation services to help patients improve mobility strength function and independence. This position supports patients with a variety of diagnoses and functional limitations in an acute inpatient care environment.
The ideal candidate will be an Arizona-licensed PTA with strong clinical skills excellent communication abilities and a commitment to safe patient-centered rehabilitation.
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled Physical Therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Implement individualized treatment plans established by the Physical Therapist
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises mobility training strengthening balance and functional activities
- Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate changes or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist
- Modify treatment activities within the established plan of care and scope of practice
- Educate patients and caregivers regarding exercises mobility techniques safety and home recommendations
- Encourage patient participation and progress toward established functional goals
- Document treatments patient response and progress accurately and within established department timeframes
- Communicate patient progress and relevant clinical information to Physical Therapists physicians nurses and other members of the interdisciplinary team
- Assist with discharge planning and patient/caregiver education as directed by the Physical Therapist
- Provide age-appropriate care based on each patients physical developmental cultural and educational needs
- Maintain patient safety throughout treatment sessions
- Adapt to changes in caseload scheduling and staffing needs
- Assist in other rehabilitation patient-care areas when needed
- Participate in department meetings process-improvement initiatives and staff education
- Meet established department productivity and documentation standards
- Collaborate effectively with physicians nursing staff rehabilitation professionals patients and families
Qualifications
Required
- Graduate of an APTA-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program or equivalent qualifying program
- Current Arizona Physical Therapist Assistant license
- Current Basic Life Support certification
- Strong understanding of therapeutic exercise mobility training and rehabilitation techniques
- Ability to provide treatments according to an established Physical Therapy plan of care
- Strong patient assessment and observation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with Physical Therapists and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to adapt to varying caseloads and department needs
Preferred
- Two or more years of Physical Therapist Assistant experience
- Previous acute inpatient rehabilitation or acute-care hospital experience
- Experience treating medically complex patients
- Experience working with patients across a broad range of ages and diagnoses
Relocation Support
Qualified candidates may be eligible for:
- $2500 relocation assistance with a one-year employment commitment or
- $4500 relocation assistance with a two-year employment commitment
- Housing assistance may also be available based on individual need and availability
Relocation assistance is considered a taxable benefit.
