Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Full-Time

Pleasant Hill Post Acute is seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. This is a full-time position offering a competitive pay range of $47$53 per hour (DOE) and a comprehensive benefits package.

Schedule: MondayFriday Full-Time
Pay: $47$53 per hour (Depending on Experience)

Position Summary

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) assists the supervising Physical Therapist with resident-related activities and direct resident care. The PTA works closely with residents families nursing staff and the interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality rehabilitation services that promote independence mobility and overall well-being.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments and interventions as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.

• Complete timely accurate and compliant documentation in accordance with facility policies governmental regulations and third-party payer requirements.

• Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control safety and equipment maintenance protocols.

• Participate in Resident Care Conferences and Rehabilitation Department meetings as needed.

• Assist the nursing department with training and support of Restorative Aides.

• Communicate regularly with the supervising Physical Therapist to ensure timely updates regarding resident progress goals physician communication discharge planning and interdisciplinary care coordination.

• Provide in-service training and educational programs for facility staff as needed.

• Educate residents families and caregivers on treatment plans home exercise programs safety techniques maintenance programs and fall prevention strategies.

• Recommend and assist with obtaining durable medical equipment to promote resident independence and safety including walkers canes splints elevated toilet seats grab bars and other adaptive equipment.

• Maintain confidentiality of resident and company information at all times.

• Report equipment issues promptly to ensure all rehabilitation equipment remains in safe working condition.

• Participate in quality assurance performance improvement initiatives and rehabilitation program development.

• Build positive professional relationships with residents families staff members and healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program required.

• Current Physical Therapist Assistant license in the State of California required.
