As a Physical Therapist Assistant youll help patients improve their mobility regain independence and achieve meaningful therapy goals in the comfort of their homes.
- Provide physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist and in accordance with the established plan of care.
- Help patients work toward goals that improve mobility strength function and independence.
- Monitor patient progress and promptly communicate changes or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and techniques that support continued progress.
- Teach patients and families how to safely use assistive devices including canes walkers wheelchairs prosthetics and orthotics.
- Deliver safe high-quality care in accordance with physician orders clinical standards and state practice guidelines.
- Current unrestricted Physical Therapist Assistant license valid in the state of practice.
- Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Six or more months of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant preferred.
- Ability to frequently lift push pull and support up to 50 pounds including assisting with patient positioning and transfers.
- Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record or reliable transportation to travel between patient homes and assigned work locations.
