Position:Phlebotomy Instructor Workforce Training and Development

Department: Workforce Development & Continuing Education

Type of Position: Non-Credit Instructor

Starting Salary Range: $50.00 per hour

Position Summary: Qualified instructors provide training for phlebotomy technician students in a continuing education classroom environment during weekday evening and weekend sessions. Instructors teach all aspects of phlebotomy in healthcare settings including collection procedures safety guidelines patient rights test requirements equipment basics venous collection techniques proper collection procedures and identification of collection supplies. Candidates must be certified phlebotomists with a minimum of three years of professional phlebotomy experience and the ability to deliver high-quality healthcare workforce training that supports student success and industry readiness.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School or equivalent and 3 years work experience in phlebotomy.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current ASCP phlebotomy certification.
  • Contacts in local phlebotomy facilities to coordinate off-campus clinical rotations.
  • Teaching experience.
  • Experience with PowerPoint Canvas and Zoom.
  • Experience teaching seminars and workshops.
  • Experience coordinating clinical phlebotomy externships and rotations.
