St. Lukes Health - The Woodlands Hospital is a 245 bed facility serving North Harris and Montgomery counties. The hospital has been recognized as a Best Hospital by U.S. News & World Report and is proud to serve as the clinical home for the Dan L Duncan Cancer Center. The hospital was awarded an A hospital safety grade by The Leapfrog Group in both 2023 and 2025. Clinical services provided include cardiovascular services diagnostic imaging womens services (digital mammography and bone density studies) neurosciences pediatric care (Newborn and Level III nurseries) surgery pathology and pulmonary services and sleep disorder services.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Certified Pharmacy Technician you will provide essential support to pharmacists ensuring the accurate and efficient preparation and dispensing of medications to patients.

Every day you will expertly process prescriptions compound medications manage inventory and meticulously assist patients with their inquiries all while adhering to strict safety and regulatory guidelines.

To be successful you will demonstrate outstanding attention to detail strong organizational skills and a professional patient-focused demeanor contributing to safe medication practices and excellent patient care.

  • Prepares distributes and delivers medications in accordance with CSH policies and procedures The Joint Commission requirements and Department of Health regulations.
  • Performs clerical and administrative tasks in support of the day to day operations of the department.
  • Maintains proper medication and supply stock levels
  • Operates and maintains automated medication delivery systems and devices.
  • Participates in department quality assurance programs and maintains appropriate quality assurance documentation.
  • Trained and certified in IV admixture preparation including all regulatory and compliance requirements with required training and documentation. This may include preparation and handling of hazardous / chemotherapy medication if applicable.
Job Requirements

  • High School Graduate upon hire or
  • High School GED upon hire and
  • 6 months compounding of IV medication
  • Pharmacy Technician: TX upon hire and
  • Certified Pharmacy Tech ECPT upon hire or
  • Certified Pharmacy Tech PTCB upon hire or
  • Certified Pharmacy Tech upon hire
