Job Summary
Are you organized analytical and passionate about healthcare The Pharmacy Business Support Specialist helps keep pharmacy operations running efficiently across Deaconess Health System through a combination of business operations data analysis purchasing compliance and pharmacy support.
Your area of focus may include Purchasing & Inventory 340B Charge Validation Regulatory Compliance or Stewardship.
- Coordinate purchasing receiving inventory and supplier relationships.
- Process orders invoices and financial transactions while resolving discrepancies.
- Analyze data and create reports spreadsheets and dashboards to support pharmacy operations and quality initiatives.
- Support 340B controlled substance diversion monitoring regulatory compliance audits and inspections.
- Coordinate required clinical quality data collection reporting and submissions.
- Partner with pharmacy leaders physicians staff suppliers and other departments to identify trends and improve processes.
- Communicate medication recalls shortages and compliance concerns.
- Assist as a Pharmacy Technician when needed to support drug distribution.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure accurate timely completion of assigned work.
Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician-in-Training license in the applicable state.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician designation within 30 days of employment unless exempted by manager discretion.
- Strong computer database and Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent organization communication and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred:
- College degree in business or related field.
- Experience with healthcare operations purchasing inventory data analysis compliance or project management.
