Peach Springs is the capital of the Hualapai Tribe set at about 4800 feet along a preserved stretch of historic Route 66 in northwestern Arizona. It is the gateway to Grand Canyon West and the Skywalk and the only road access to Havasu Canyon and the Colorado River at Diamond Creek runs through town. Hiking river rafting hunting and some of the darkest night skies in the country are out the back door. Kingman is about 50 miles southwest on AZ-66 for shopping dining and schools; Las Vegas and Flagstaff are both easy weekend drives. Cost of living is low the commute is measured in minutes and the pace is genuinely different from a retail or health-system job.

Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) Las Vegas approximately 2 hours 45 minutes. Flagstaff Pulliam Airport (FLG) approximately 2 hours 15 minutes. Kingman is 50 miles southwest.

Peach Springs Health Center is an outpatient Indian Health Service clinic serving the Hualapai Tribe and the surrounding Route 66 communities part of the Colorado River Service Unit in the Phoenix Area. Services include family medicine pediatrics womens health behavioral health dental optometry audiology nutrition medical imaging laboratory and pharmacy. The pharmacy is a small tight-knit team where the pharmacist is a front-line clinician you counsel every patient work shoulder to shoulder with the providers and see the results of your recommendations in the same community week after week.

• Review medication orders prior to dispensing for safety appropriateness and efficacy including allergy interaction and dose checks
• Resolve therapy problems directly with the prescriber and document in the patient record
• Fill and dispense prescriptions in accordance with federal and state law and professional practice standards
• Counsel patients and caregivers on safe and effective medication use using two patient identifiers
• Serve as a therapeutic advisor to the clinic providers on chronic disease and acute care management
• Maintain formulary inventory and controlled substance accountability
• Conduct routine checks of emergency drug supplies and crash carts
• Provide drug information on request and participate in quality assurance activities
• Complete all chart entries and pharmacy documentation before the end of each shift

• Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy
• Current valid unrestricted pharmacy license in any US state the District of Columbia Puerto Rico or a US territory Arizona licensure is not required
• Outpatient or ambulatory care pharmacy experience
• Experience with the Resource and Patient Management System (RPMS) or prior Indian Health Service experience is a plus not a requirement orientation is provided

Full-time 40 hours per week weekday day shifts at the Peach Springs clinic. One-year assignment. Exact shift windows are confirmed with the facility before start.
