Job Summary
- $60.50- $78.91 per hour
- $10/hr evening differential
- $20k sign-on bonus
- Weekend Differential is $1/hr
- Up to $5k in relocation reimbursement (must be applicable)
- Provide comprehensive clinical pharmacy services for assigned patient care areas
- Review and verify medication orders to ensure safe accurate and appropriate therapy
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and collaborate with healthcare teams on patient care decisions
- Complete pharmacotherapy consults and provide medication-related recommendations
- Educate patients and caregivers on medication therapies and treatment plans
- Respond to code blue events and other clinical emergencies as needed
- Perform medication chart reviews to identify opportunities for optimization and improved outcomes
- Support pharmacy operations through order verification drug distribution and IV room product verification
- Provide oversight and guidance to pharmacy technicians during daily departmental operations
- Contribute to medication safety quality improvement and process enhancement initiatives
- Participate in department and hospital committees
- Support the development of future pharmacy professionals through student precepting and mentoring opportunities
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BSPharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited school of pharmacy
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Pharmacist in Indiana and Kentucky
- Ability to obtain required licensure within 45 days of employment
- Strong clinical judgment and commitment to evidence-based patient care
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Commitment to patient safety service excellence and continuous learning
Preferred:
- Previous hospital pharmacy experience
- Advanced certifications such as BCPS BCOP or other relevant specialty credentials
- Interest in clinical practice advancement quality improvement and professional development
