Position Summary
Dhaka Technologies Limited Company is hiring on behalf of its client for a Pharmacist in Charge to lead retail pharmacy operations in Miami Florida. The Pharmacist in Charge owns the day to day performance of the pharmacy including the accurate preparation and dispensing of medications supervision of the pharmacy technician team patient counseling and full compliance with federal and Florida Board of Pharmacy requirements.
This is a patient facing leadership role serving a bilingual community and fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare verify and dispense prescription medications accurately and in accordance with federal and Florida state pharmacy regulations.
- Serve as the pharmacist of record for the location maintaining licensure recordkeeping and regulatory compliance for the pharmacy.
- Lead schedule train and supervise a team of pharmacy technicians and support staff.
- Counsel patients in English and Spanish on medication usage dosage drug interactions and side effects.
- Manage pharmacy inventory ordering controlled substance handling and cycle counts.
- Operate and maintain the pharmacy Patient Management System for prescription processing and patient records.
- Oversee daily workflow prescription volume and turnaround times to meet service standards.
- Coordinate with prescribers and payers on prior authorizations prescription clarifications and third party billing issues.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Current active and unrestricted pharmacist license to practice in the State of Florida.
- Minimum of 3 years of retail pharmacy management experience.
- Fluency in both English and Spanish spoken and written.
- Working proficiency with a pharmacy Patient Management System.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior leadership or supervisory role within a retail pharmacy setting.
- Experience with controlled substance compliance inspections and audits.
- Experience building technician training programs and improving pharmacy workflow.
Work Schedule
Monday through Friday normally between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM.
