Why This Role Matters

The Relief Pharmacist ensures continuity safety and consistency of care in the absence of the PharmacistinCharge. This role plays a key leadership function supporting pharmacy technicians safeguarding medication accuracy and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards.

• Protects patient safety through accurate prescription review and verification
• Supports pharmacy teams with calm steady leadership during coverage periods

What Youll Do

In this role you will:

• Provide clinical oversight of pharmacy operations when serving as pharmacist on duty
• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians to ensure safe effective and compliant workflows
• Review and verify prescription orders confirming appropriate medication selection dosing and patient education materials
• Deliver evidencebased costeffective medication therapy in accordance with FDA requirements manufacturer guidelines and internal policies
• Conduct initial patient assessments diseasespecific consultations and refill assessments as required
• Maintain compliance with applicable State Board of Pharmacy regulations and accreditation standards (URAC ACHC The Joint Commission)
• Participate in quality assurance activities and audits as requested
• Respond effectively to operational needs interruptions and priority changes during coverage periods
• Bring reliability sound judgment and professional presence to clinical operations

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an ACPEaccredited School of Pharmacy
• Current unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of employment
• Experience providing highquality customer service to internal and external stakeholders
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and pharmacy technology systems

Preferred Qualifications

• One (1)two (2) years of experience in retail or hospital pharmacy settings

Pay Range/Rate

$60 - $70 USD
