MD- Hospitalist-Per Diem

Ellis Medicine is seeking an experiencedMD/DOHospitalist to join our Hospital Medicine team at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady New York.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Advanced Practitioner to become part of a well-established and collaborative Hospital Medicine program. The ideal candidate will be a confident experienced clinician with strong multitasking and communication skills who thrives in a fast-paced inpatient setting and enjoys working closely with physicians nurses and interdisciplinary team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient medical care to hospitalized patients
• Perform patient assessments develop treatment plans and manage ongoing care
• Collaborate with supervising physicians and healthcare team members
• Participate in care transitions and discharge planning
• Communicate effectively with patients families and consulting services
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Demonstrate leadership clinical judgment and independent decision-making within scope of practice

Qualifications

• MD (Doctor of Medicine) or DO (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine) from an accredited medical school.
• Certification of completion of residency training in internal medicine required. Must qualify for a New York State (NYS) Medical License.
• Active DEA Registration
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to high-quality inpatient care
• Strong clinical communication and teamwork skills
• Prior Hospital Medicine experience preferred

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive salary range: $160 per hourstarting

• The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include productivity bonuses incentives related to quality and performance extra shift incentives and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the addition providers typically receive other benefits offered by their medical group employer.
