Many of our clients are just starting services and we need dependable caregivers to help get them off the ground and stable. Once that happens well transition a permanent caregiver into the role.

We simply ask for a short-term commitment to help the client adjust and get the care they need at the beginning.

As a Personal Support Specialist you will assist clients with a variety of non-medical home care services including:

• Personal care assistance
• Mobility support and transfers
• Meal preparation
• Light housekeeping
• Companionship and social engagement
• Transportation assistance
• Temporary coverage for clients when their regular caregiver is unavailable.

• Friday 4pm -8pm
  Saturday is broken up into 2 shifts 8am-1pm and 4pm-8pm
  Sunday is broken up into 2 shifts 8am-1pm and 4pm-8pm

• Additional hours may be available based on client needs
• Major holidays generally observed with optional holiday shifts available

This position serves clients throughout Portland and nearby communities.

Applicants should be comfortable traveling within the service area and supporting multiple client locations as needed. Mileage reimbursement is provided for eligible travel.

• At least one year of caregiving experience preferred
• PSS Certified (No Certificate No worries we will help you in getting your PSS)
• Experience in home care assisted living memory care or skilled nursing settings is a plus
• Valid drivers license preferred
• Reliable transportation preferred
• Ability to successfully pass a background screening
• Ability to safely assist clients with mobility and lift up to 50 pounds when necessary
• Current immunization documentation including MMR Varicella and annual influenza vaccination records
