We are searching for a talented Peer Recovery Coach-Addiction

Hours:40hrs

Shift:Day shift with weekend and holiday rotation; 7:00am - 3:00pm and 8:00am - 4:00pm

Location: St. Lukes Hospital New Bedford MA

**Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 24 hours.

• Equal to completion of 4 years of high school plus the completion of additional courses/training in community health work is required.
• Must be culturally competent and have thorough knowledge of the communities being served.
• Two years experience working with substance use and behavioral health patients.
• Proven ability for independent decision making problem solving and effectively utilize supervision while performing as part of the multi-disciplinary team.
• Solid knowledge of community resources and effective relapse prevention/recovery skills.
• Must have basic competency with computer skills.
• Experience with Outlook and EMR is preferred.
• Experience supporting adults with opioid use disorder in hospital emergency or community outreach settings.
• Training in motivational interviewing harm reduction and trauma informed peer support.
• Familiarity with local addiction treatment programs community resources and electronic health record documentation.
• Recovery Coach certificate preferred but not required.

• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

• Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
