POSITION OVERVIEW

Job Title:Advanced Practice Provider

Department: Radiology

Reports to: Medical Director

FLSA Status: Exempt

Location: Austin Texas

Position Summary

AustinRadiological Association is a nationally renowned radiology practice with a72-year history of providing exceptional service and clinical care to the patients of Austin and Central oneof the largest radiology groups in the country with 118radiologistsrepresentingall subspecialties.

We are seeking a physician extender to join our growing radiology APP section in Austin. Responsibilities primarily involve pediatric hospital encounters including consultations H&Ps follow-upsdiagnosticfluoroscopy and image-guided duties are limited to our bi-weekly vascular anomalies clinic.

Prior experience in pediatric fluoroscopy or image-guided procedures is strongly trainingisavailable. The environment is highly collegial featuring direct radiologist interaction optimized workflows and dedicated support staff.

Primary sites include Dell Childrens Medical Center and Dell Childrens NorthCampus plus other Austin-area contract siteswith a pediatric population. The schedule is sustainable the case mix is rewarding and there isan optiontoparticipatein adult care. Income may be supplemented via moonlighting opportunities atadult and pediatricsites.

ARA serves 24hospitals andoperates17 outpatient imaging centersbutbythe end of 2026wellbe serving 19 outpatient imaging is partnered with the Dell Medical School at the University of Texas to redefine how diagnostic testing is designeddeliveredandleveragedto aRadiology Partnerspractice weare an innovative practice focused on transforming how radiologists provide consistently exceptional services to hospitals imaging centers referring physicians and serve our clients with an operational focusand above all acommitment to quality patient care. Position Duties and Responsibilities

  • Hospital-based consultationsimage-guidedprocedures andfollow ups

  • Limited outpatient pre/post procedure clinicvisits

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS ANDEXPERIENCE

  • Successful completion of an educational program forradiology assistantsphysician assistants nurse practitionersor surgeon assistants accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant or by that committees predecessor or successor entities

  • Passage of PANCE within 6 attempts(or equivalent)

  • NCCPA Certification(or equivalent)

  • Passage of the jurisprudence (JP) exam

  • Have practiced at least 20 hours a week for 40 weeks in one of the two years preceding application

COMPENSATION:
