Job Title: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (PICU RN)
Location:Syracuse NY

We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse for a contract opportunity at a large acute care hospital. Candidates must have recent PICU experience in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center and be comfortable caring for critically ill pediatric patients in a high-acuity environment.

• Active New York State RN License required
• BLS Certification required
• Minimum 3 years of recent PICU experience required
• Experience must be within the last 2 years
• Must have experience in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center
• Travelers must have experience in hospitals of similar or greater size and acuity
• Epic experience preferred

• Provide comprehensive critical care nursing to pediatric patients in the ICU.
• Perform detailed patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Monitor hemodynamic status ventilators cardiac rhythms and critical care equipment.
• Administer medications blood products and specialized therapies according to physician orders.
• Collaborate with intensivists physicians respiratory therapists and interdisciplinary teams.
• Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and emergency situations.
• Document all patient care accurately within the electronic medical record.
