Inova Childrens Gastroenterology is ateam of 13 physicians and 3 advanced practice providersdedicated to caring for a diverse population of children withgastrointestinalliverand nutritional disorders.

Inova Childrens Gastroenterologyincludes multi-disciplinary programs that support feeding and growth challengesaerodigestive disorders eosinophilic esophagusceliac disease inflammatory bowel disease parenteral and enteral nutritionintestinal rehabilitation and liver divisionsupportsconventionalendoscopic procedures as well ascomplex procedures including advanced endoscopy.

Integrated clinical services supporting the Inova ChildrensGastroenterologydivision include:

• Integrated outpatient non-oncology infusion center
• Integrated aerodigestive clinical space
• Sedation-free in-office testing includingtransnasalendoscopy and anal manometry
• Dedicatedbehavioral health support (psychologist and psychiatrist) to support complex and chronic patient needs
• Dedicated pediatric dietitian
• Specialty pharmacy integration and clinical pharmacist support
• Inova Childrens Complex Care integrated care management model

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education:For Nurse Practitioners:Bachelors Degree in NursingandMasters Degree in Advanced ClinicalPractice or graduate of a post-masterscertificate program for nurse practitioners American Association of Colleges of Nursing of the National League for Nursing; For Physician Assistants: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Licensure:Licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner;If Nurse Practitioner: RN Compact License(depending on State of primary residence)AND a license (or eligibility for) as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant in the Commonwealth of Virginia AND a Practice Agreement signed by sponsoring/ supervising physician(s) AND a written Scope of Practice/Protocol signed by the supervising physicianAND Drug Enforcement Administration License (if prescribing controlled substances).
• Certification:Basic Life Support (BLS) upon start
• Payer Credentialing:Ability to successfully complete the credentialing process by third-party payors and Ability toenrolledas a CMS Medicare/Medicaid payor
• Medical Staff Credentialing:Successful completion of credentialing for Medical Staff membership andappropriate clinicalprivileges sufficient to perform all required services
