About Us:

The Pediatric Inpatient Oncology Unit also known as Craycroft specializes in oncology hematology rheumatology renal diabetic and endocrine disorders. With 35 beds Craycroft is uniquely designed to meet the needs of patients requiring isolation or those with mobility challenges. The unit features private rooms each with a high-efficiency filter system to protect patients with weakened immune systems and accommodations for overnight family stays.

Job Summary:

Qualifications:

Education

• High School Diploma/G.E.D. (required)
• Program Graduation from a patient care program (i.e. MA CNA EMT) (required) Or
• Program One semester of an RN or LVN program (required) Or
• Equivalent Experience Two years in a similar role in lieu of patient care program or nursing program requirement (required) Or
• Equivalent Experience Current Valley Childrens Pediatric Nurse Extern (required)

Licenses and Certifications

• BLS - Basic Life Support - AHA - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire or transfer into position (required)

Work Experience

• Minimum six (6) months Providing direct patient care (preferred)

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to work in a team environment ability to be delegated tasks by the RN and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a timely manner. And
• Medical terminology skills are preferred. And
• Bilingual Skills Preferred.
