Position Overview

The Division of Pediatric Cardiology comprises a dedicated multidisciplinary team of nine pediatric cardiologists and two congenital heart surgeons providing comprehensive care for children with congenital and acquired heart disease. We are seeking an additionalPediatric Cardiologistto support our expanding cardiac program and to contribute to the academic clinical and educational missions of the division. We are seeking a general pediatric cardiologist well suited to practice in a busy outpatient setting. Additional responsibilities can be crafted based on the facultys interest including fetal cardiology inpatient cardiology exercise stress testing or preventative cardiology.

Our Heart Center offers cardiac services throughout the Westchester Medical Center network as well as the Hudson Valley. This includes our comprehensive Surgical Center offering surgical palliation and correction for all congenital heart defects along with our new Center for Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery. We offer the full range of non-invasive services including transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography fetal echocardiography and a new Fetal Care Center. We maintain full capabilities in interventional cardiology and cardiac critical care in addition to a comprehensive cardiac MRI and rapidly growing CT program. Opportunities for collaboration with our world class adult colleagues exist and equipment throughout the hospital remains state-of-the-art through an enterprise-wide capital management program.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will:

• Beboard-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Cardiology
• Demonstrate excellence inclinical careteaching andscholarly activity
• Exhibit strong interpersonal and leadership skills with a passion forprogrammatic growth and innovation
• Be eligible for anacademic appointmentat New York Medical College commensurate with experience and scholarly achievements

BCHP is a multispecialty pediatric group practice of over300 physicians providing tertiary and quaternary care across the region in close collaboration with Westchester Medical Center and Maria Fareri Childrens Hospital. The network encompasses33 pediatric primary care practicesand offers integrated access to the expertise and resources of Boston Childrens Hospital ensuring excellence in patient care education and innovation.

Maria Fareri Childrens Hospital serves as the regional quaternary care center for the Hudson Valley and is the only dedicated childrens hospital in the region. The hospital is home to:

• 150 pediatric beds including an18-bed PICU55-bed NICU and adedicated pediatric emergency department
• Comprehensive subspecialty services and advanced pediatric surgical programs
