• Elementary PE certification is specifically required
  

The PE Teacher will provide physical education instruction to elementary students focusing on physical fitness health movement sports coordination teamwork and positive social and emotional development.

• Teach physical education fitness health rhythms/dance and individual/team sports.
  
• Adapt instruction for individual students and small groups.
  
• Demonstrate sports skills movement strategies and physical activities.
  
• Maintain a safe and orderly learning environment.
  
• Monitor student progress and physical skill development.
  
• Communicate with parents counselors and other school staff.
  
• Maintain PE equipment inventory and safety standards.
  
• Participate in curriculum development faculty committees school activities and events.
  

This is a physically demanding elementary PE role. The teacher must be able to stand walk bend kneel climb/balance and regularly lift or move up to 50 lbs frequently up to 100 lbs and occasionally more than 100 lbs.
