Perform or cross train in all accounting functions related to the revenue and payment cycles
This temporary assignment length will be approx. 3-4 months
Accountabilities
Accurate and timely data entry and processing of 52 weekly payroll batches per year.
Reconciliation of all payroll taxes
Processing and submittal of all certified payroll reports
Reconciliation of all employee benefits (401k medical allowances etc)
Verify proper cost accounting of payments
Reconcile monthly vendor statements
Assist in preparation of monthly billings
Assist in monthly trial balance reconciliations
Assist with monthly accounting close
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Minimum two (2) years of experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role
Minimum high school diploma. Bachelors degree and/or certificate in accounting is preferred
Experience using different accounting software and Microsoft office programs
Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles general ledger accounting and cost accounting
Experience with purchase orders and shipping/receiving
Experience in the construction industry electrical construction helpful
Ability to communicate clearly and good presentation of financial reports
Knowledge of construction payroll and job costing.
Understanding of payroll taxes and employee benefits
