Job Summary

The Payroll Coordinator works alongside the Senior Payroll Administrator in the Department of Human Resources coordinating payroll processing for multiple dealership locations. They ensure that payroll is processed on time accurately and in compliance with government regulations. This position reports directly to the Human Resources Manager.

Responsibilities
- Assist HR Manager in developing and implementing HR-related policies procedures and initiatives that align with the organizations goals.
- Assist with the Senior Payroll Administrator completing weekly payroll tasks.
- Implement maintain and review payroll systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries benefits garnishments taxes and other deductions.
- Manage complex dealership pay plans including bonuses commissions draws flat-rate technicians and hourly and salaried employees.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires terminations and changes to pay rates.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
- Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and location managers.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and system issues in a timely manner.
- Reconcile and prepare weekly 401k payments and contributions for specific stores.
- Assist with reconciling Benefits on a store by store basis.
- Ensure compliance with federal state and local laws regulations and company policies and procedures.
- Assist with annual open-enrollment period review summary materials and communicate changes to employees.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.

- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Thorough knowledge of employment related laws and regulations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and related software.
- Proficient with payroll software.
- Must have a valid Drivers License and clean driving record. Must pass employment background and drug screenings.
Bachelors degree in Accounting Human Resources Business Administration or related field preferred.
NETCHEX/DEALERTRACK EXPERIENCE would be preferable/ not mandatory.
