Job Summary
Cherry Bekaert Recruiting is seeking an experiencedPayroll Managerwith a strong background in theconstruction industryto lead and manage all payroll-related functions. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing including certified payroll reporting benefits administration and expense reimbursements.

Key Responsibilities
Payroll Management
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for all employees ensuring accuracy timeliness and compliance with federal state and local regulations
- Manage and reviewcertified payroll reportingin accordance with government and contract requirements (e.g. prevailing wage laws)
- Maintain payroll records and ensure proper documentation
- Ensure adherence to all payroll tax regulations wage laws and industry-specific compliance requirements
- Prepare and review payroll-related reports filings and reconciliations
- Act as the primary point of contact for payroll audits and inquiries
- Oversee employee benefits administration including enrollments changes and coordination with vendors
- Ensure accurate payroll deductions for benefits and proper reconciliation
- Manage employee expense reimbursement processes ensuring compliance with company policies
- Review and approve expense reports for accuracy and proper documentation
- Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes systems and controls
- Provide guidance and support to payroll staff (if applicable)
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure alignment across functions
Qualifications
- 5 years of payroll experience with significant experience in theconstruction industry
- Strong knowledge of certified payroll and prevailing wage requirements
- Bachelors degree inAccounting Finance or a related fieldpreferred
- Experience with payroll systems and timekeeping platforms
