Summary
The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for the administrative support of day-to-day payroll operations. The Payroll Coordinator will process weekly payroll ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Requirements
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The lists below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education:Minimum high school graduate bachelors degree preferred.
  • Experience:At least 1-5 years of related payroll experience.
  • ADP Workforce Now: Must have hands-on experience processing full-cycle payroll in ADP Workforce Now including timecard approval pay data entry payroll preview and final submission off-cycle and manual checks and payroll reporting
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
  • Working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now payroll and timekeeping including employee pay data maintenance tax jurisdiction setup garnishments deductions and quarter-end/year-end processing.
  • Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP pivot tables) for payroll reconciliation.
  • Detail-oriented highly organized and comfortable working with sensitive data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of payroll tax laws and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with annual employee tax reporting.
  • Possess a motivated professional and self-starter attitude.
Essential Functions
  • Process weekly payroll ensuring that all figures are accurate and payroll is paid on time.
  • Run and review payroll reports in ADP Workforce Now resolve discrepancies and submit final payroll by established deadlines.
  • Process off-cycle payrolls manual checks voids and final pay for separated employees.
  • Maintain employee payroll records in ADP Workforce Now including new hire setup direct deposit tax withholding and PTO accruals.
  • Generate and reconcile payroll reports including registers deduction 401(k) and general ledger reports.
  • Assist with quarter-end and year-end processes including W-2 review and tax reconciliations.
  • Assist with maintaining payroll information by collecting calculating and entering data.
  • Maintain payroll operations by following policies and procedures.
  • Protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Communicate with branch administrator in the event of an employees separation from the company.
Work Environment
  • This position is in an office environment and requires being in the office Monday Friday.
Physical Demands
  • This role requires sitting for long periods of time typing with repetitive hand motions and extended periods of time looking at a computer screen. This role has limited lifting bending reaching or stooping.
